چکیده
The present study examined and reported Hepatocystis sp. infection in wild-caught vervet monkeys imported from Tanzania into the Razi vaccine and serum research institute (RVSRI). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) targeting of 18S rRNA gene, followed by sequencing, Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST),   and phylogenetic studies revealed that 82.8% of the imported monkeys were infected with Hepatocystis. Nevertheless, as illustrated by a routine parasitological examination of blood smears and histopathological examination of liver collected samples, the rates of Hepatocystis infection were obtained at 33.9% and 38.1%, respectively. Two isolated 18S rRNA gene sequences of Hepatocystis sp. from Tanzanian vervet monkeys were registered under the accession numbers OM281567 and OM281564 in GenBank. Although Hepatocystis infections do not cause clinical disease, they may interfere with the research data. The results of the current study pointed out that after proper nutrition and implementation of good physical environmental conditions for 3-4 months, the imported monkeys obviously gained weight and most of their hematological parameters, even in the presence of the parasite, returned to the normal levels and the experimental monkeys would be ready for use in studies.

تشخیص آلودگی میمون های وروت (Chlorocebus pygrythrus) وارداتی از کشور تانزانیا به گونه انگل هپاتوسیستیس (Hepatocystis sp.) با استفاده از روش‌های مولکولی و میکروسکوپی

در این مطالعه به بررسی و گزارش آلودگی با گونه انگل هپاتوسیستیس (Hepatocystis sp.) در بین میمون‌های وروت (Chlorocebus pygrythrus) وارداتی از کشور تانزانیا به موسسه تحقیقات واکسن و سرم رازی (RVSRI) پرداخته شده است. در طی این مطالعه آزمایش زنجیره ای پلیمراز ((PCR بمنظور هدف قرار دادن ژن "اجزاء کوچک آر ان آ ریبوزومی" (18S rRNA) انگل و به دنبال آن توالی یابی (Sequencing)، بلاست (BLAST) و مطالعات فیلوژنتیکی انجام پذیرفت که در نتیجه مشخص گردید که 82.8 درصد از میمون های وارد شده آلوده به این انگل بودند. در حالیکه در آزمایش انگل‌شناسی گسترش های خون و همچنین بررسی هیستوپاتولوژیک نمونه‌های جمع‌آوری‌شده از کبد میمون های وارداتی، میزان آلودگی با این انگل به ترتیب 9/33 و 1/38 درصد تعیین گردید. دو توالی ژن 18S rRNA انگل هپاتوسیستیس جدا شده از میمون‌های وارداتی از کشور تانزانیا با شماره‌های دسترسی OM281567 و OM281564 در بانک ژن (GenBank) ثبت شد. اگرچه آلودگی با انگل هپاتوسیستیس باعث بیماری با عوارض بالینی جدی نمی شود، اما ممکن است باعث بروز مشکلاتی در تفسیر یافته های تحقیقاتی بشود. نتایج به‌دست‌آمده از مطالعه حاضر نشان داد که با تغذیه مناسب میمون های وارداتی و ایجاد شرایط فیزیکی مناسب در محیط های نگهداری، پس از 3 تا 4 ماه وزن میمون‌های وارداتی به وضوح افزایش یافته و تمامی پارامترهای خونی آنها حتی در حضور انگل هپاتوسیستیس به میزان طبیعی خود باز گشته و میمون ها برای استفاده در تحقیقات آماده خواهند بود.
