| سوسک چوبخوار Melanophila picta یکی از مهم‌ترین آفات درختان صنوبر در کرج می‌باشد. طی سال‌های 1372 تا 1374 زیست‌شناسی و دشمنان طبیعی این آفت در مجتمع تحقیقاتی منطقه‌ی البرز کرج و حومه آن، با نمونه‌برداری منظم هفتگی از تنه درختان آلوده، پرورش حشره روی تنه درختان سرپا و نیز روی ساقه‌های قطع شده صنوبر در شرایط کنترل شده بررسی گردید. در منطقه کرج، حشرات کامل از دهه دوم اردیبهشت ماه در طبیعت ظاهر شدند و خروج آن‌ها تا دهه اول تیرماه ادامه یافت. نقطه اوج ظهور این حشرات در هفته دوم خرداد ماه اتفاق افتاد. حشرات ماده پس از جفتگیری، در شیارها و لابلای جوانههای موجود روی تنه به دفعات مختلف تخم‌ریزی نمودند. هر حشره ماده به طور متوسط30/56 ± 08/108 عدد تخم گذاشت. میانگین دوره تخم‌گذاری 02/7 ± 29/15 روز و دوره انکوباسیون تخم‌ها به طور متوسط 21/1 ± 14/7 روز طول کشید. لاروهای جوان (Neonate) از محل اتصال تخم به پوست تنه درخت، نفوذ نموده و از زیر پوست و لایه زاینده تغذیه کردند. این لاروها با ادامه تغذیه در ناحیه برون چوب، دالا‌ن‌هایی حداکثر به طول 10 سانتی‌متر ایجاد نمودند. سوسک‌های چوبخوار صنوبر زمستان را به صورت لاروهای سنین بالا و به حالت غیر فعال در دالان‌های لاروی سپری کردند. لاروها اوایل بهار سال بعد مجدداً فعال شده، شروع به تغذیه نمودند. پیش شفیره‌ها از اواخر فروردین و اولین شفیره‌ها از اواخر فروردین ماه یا اوایل اردیبهشت درون اطاقک شفیرگی دیده شدند. شفیره‌ها به طور متوسط بعد از 6 ± 18/15 روز به حشره کامل تبدیل شدند. این آفت در شرایط آب و هوایی کرج یک نسل در سال ایجاد نمود. نسبت جنسی حشرات ماده به نر 14/1 به 1 تعیین شد. در این بررسی 4 گونه زنبور پارازیتوئید متعلق به خانواده‌های Encyrtidae، Braconidae، Ichneumonidae، Chalcididae و یک گونه مورچه شکارگر تحت نام علمی Lasius alinus جمعآوری گردید. درصد پارازیته شدن لاروهای آفت توسط هر یک از زنبورهای خانواده Braconidae و Ichneumonidae در سال 1374 به ترتیب 21/4 و 72/17 تعیین شد. | ||

| Melanophila picta is one of the most important pests of poplar trees in Karaj. From 1993 to 1995, biology and natural enemies of the pest were studied with weekly samplings of poplar trees, and rearing of insects on poplar trees and cutting stems of poplar under controlled conditions in Alborz Research Complex, Karaj. The adults appeared on poplar trees from early May to the end of June. Peak of adults population was observed in early June. After mating the females were frequentely laied their eggs in bark crevices or around lateral buds of poplar trees. The average number of eggs per female was 108.08±56.30, and the average ovipositions and the incubation period of eggs were 15.29±7.02 and 7.14±1.21 days, respectively. Following the hatching of the eggs, the larvae feed superficially inside the bark, inner phloem and the cambial layer just beneath the bark. They bore the sapwood and construct larval tunnels with the lengths up to 10 centimeters. M. picta overwintere as last instars larvae inside sapwood. Overwintering larvae re-start their activity in early spring of the following year. The first pre-pupa and pupa were observed in pupal chambers from mid April and mid or late April, respectively. The average pupal period is about 15.18±6 days in Karaj area and the insect had 1 generation per year. Sex ratio (♀:♂) was observed 1.14:1. During this study, 4 species of parasitoid wasps belonging to families Encyrtidae, Braconidae, Ichneumonidae and Chalcididae, as well as 1 species of predatory ant (Lasius alinus) were reared on the M. picta Pall. larval parasitization by Braconidae and Ichneumonidae families was estimated 4.21 and 17.72 percent, respectively in 1995. | ||
