| چکیده | ||
| Plantago major L. and P. lanceolata L. are abundantly being found in the north of Iran recognizing as valuable medicinal plants. In this study, populations of these two species from northern parts of the country including Sari, Ziarat, Masouleh and Shurab were collected and a number of qualitative and quantitative traits of their pollen grains were studied and compared using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Pollen morphology of both species showed that, although their pollen grains are monad with small-sized, often prolate-spheroidal, pantoporate, verrucated and granulated ornamentation, but their pore structures are different while P. lanceolata have larger pollen grains and more pores than P. major. The pores of P. lanceolata are small, with annulus and well-defined operculum, whereas the pores of P. major are larger, without annulus and well- or ill-defined operculum. It seems that, their pore structures could be a key trait in the palynological studies. The results suggest that, the palynological results can be effective for these species identification and can help to classification and taxonomy of Plantago L. genus. | ||

| بارهنگ کبیر (Plantago major) و بارهنگ سرنیزه‌ای (P. lanceolata) گونه‌های فراوان جنس بارهنگ در شمال ایران بوده که به عنوان گونه‌های دارویی با ارزش شناخته می‌شوند. در این پژوهش، جمعیت‌های این دو گونه از مناطق شمالی کشور شامل ساری، زیارت، ماسوله و شوراب جمع‌آوری و تعدادی از صفات کمّی و کیفی دانه‌های گرده آن‌ها با استفاده از تصاویر تهیه شده از میکروسکوپ الکترونی نگاره بررسی و مقایسه شدند. ریخت‌شناسی دانه گرده نشان داد که اگرچه هر دو گونه دارای دانه‌های گرده منفرد با اندازه کوچک و اغلب کروی کشیده، منافذ پراکنده در سطح دانه گرده و تزیینات سطحی برآمده و دانه‌دانه‌دار بودند؛ اما ساختار منفذ آن‌ها متفاوت بوده به طوری که P. lanceolata دارای دانه‌های گرده بزرگ‌تر و منافذ بیش‌تری بود. منافذ دانه‌های گرده P. lanceolata کوچک‌تر و دارای حلقه و درپوش کامل بودند، در حالی که منافذ دانه‌های گرده P. major بزرگ‌تر و فاقد حلقه بوده و درپوش کامل در همه موارد وجود نداشت. به نظر می‌رسد که ساختار منفذ می‌تواند صفتی کلیدی در مطالعات گرده‌شناسی این گونه‌ها و جنس بارهنگ باشد. نتایج تحقیق حاضر پیشنهاد می‌کند که داده‌های گرده‌شناسی می‌تواند به شناسایی این گونه‌ها و به رده‌بندی و تاکسونومی جنس بارهنگ کمک نماید. | ||
