| Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease with global importance, and the animals are the source of transmission of this disease through shedding in their urine. Accordingly, it is essential to conduct epidemiological studies of leptospirosis in order to diagnose this disease in dogs and reduce the risk of transmission to humans. This study aimed to perform a seroepidemiological analysis of Leptospiral infection in stray dogs in Alborz, Iran, using the Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT). In total, 110 blood samples were collected from stray dogs to detect the antibodies against leptospira interrogans serovarsby the MAT. The prevalence rate of positive MAT tests in stray dogs was estimated at 21.84%. The following protocol confirmed that the most common titers were 1:200 (50%) and 1:400 (25%). In addition, the most prevalent Leptospira serovars were L. Canicola (33.33%), and the lowest belonged to L. Pomona (4.1%). Moreover, no significant difference was observed between the age and gender of the dogs regarding their MAT titer (P>0.05). The results also showed a high prevalence of leptospirosis in stray dogs of Koohsar in Alborz province, Iran. Since Leptospirosis is a zoonosis disease, it should be studied continuously in humans and animals, especially dogs. | ||

| لپتوسپیروز یک بیماری زئونوز است که گسترش جهانی دارد وحیوانات منبع انتقال این بیماری از طریق دفع ادرار خود می باشند .چون سگ ها ارتباط نزدیکی با انسان دارند، آنها می توانند نقش مهمی در انتقال بیماری به انسان داشته باشند. هدف: مطالعات اپیدمیولوژی لپتوسپیروز برای جستجو و کاهش عفونت در سگ ها و در نتیجه کاهش خطر انتقال آن به انسان، بسیار مهم است، و مطالعات کمی بر روی لپتوسپیروز در سگ های ایران انجام شده است، لذا هدف از این مطالعه بررسی سرواپیدمیولوژی عفونت لپتوسپیرا در سگ های ولگرد با استفاده از تست آگلوتیناسیون میکروسکوپی (MAT) در منطقه کوهسار، استان البرز، ایران می باشد. روش کار: 110 نمونه خون از سگ های ولگرد منطقه کوهسار استان البرز برای شناسایی آنتی بادی بر علیه سرووارهای لپتوسپیرا اینتروگانس با روش MAT جمع آوری شد. نتایج: شیوع این بیماری در سگ های ولگرد (24n=) 84/21 % بود. تیترهای مثبت بین رقت های 1:100 تا 1:1600 بودند. بیشترین تیترها، (50 %) 1:200، (25 %) 1:400 و (5/12 %) 1:100 بود. شایع ترین سرووارها: (33/33 %) L.conicola، (25%) L.Icterohaemorrhagia و (83/20) L.Grippotyphosa و پائین ترین شیوع مربوط به (1/4 %) L.pomona بود. تفاوت معنی دار بین سن و جنس سگ ها در تیتر MAT مشاهده نشد.(p-value ˃ 0.05) نتیجه گیری نهایی: نتایج نشان داد که شیوع لپتوسپیروز در جمعیت سگ کوهسار در استان البرز نسبتا بالا است. از آنجایی که لپتوسپیروز یک بیماری زئونوز است، مطالعه این بیماری در انسان و حیوانات به ویژه سگ ها باید به طور باید مداوم انجام شود. | ||
