| Some of the medicinal plants have antibacterial contents and appear to be proper alternatives for antibiotics in the treatment of streptococcal disease, which causes plenty of mortalities in fish farms annually. Therefore, this study investigated the therapeutic effect of Aloe vera and Salvia officinalis hydroethanolic extracts against Streptococcus iniae in rainbow trout. Plant extracts components were analyzed by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method and tested in vitro against S. iniae by disk diffusion assay. In in vivo, 480 rainbow trout (10±0.1 g) were distributed in 9 groups (with 3 replication), and all groups (except for the first group as the negative control that was injected with 100 µl of physiologic serum) were injected by 100 µl of LD50 (3.66×108.5CFU/ml) of S. iniae suspension, intraperitoneally. The fish of groups were treated by A. vera and S. officinalis extracts in doses 0 (positive control group was fed by commercial diet without plant extract), 0.5, 1, and 1.5% (supplemented diet) and 80 mg/kg body weight erythromycin for the next 10 days. At the end of the study period, tissue samples of the gills and livers of all groups were taken for the histopathological lesion assay. The results showed that A. vera and S. officinalis had antibacterial components as Cineol, and S. iniae was sensitive to both A. vera (MBC=4.067 mg/ml) and S. officinalis (MBC=5.185 mg/ml) extracts. At the end of the treatment period, there were no significant differences among erythromycin, A. vera (1.5%), and A. vera (1%) in terms of the mortality of the infected fish (P˂0.05). Moreover, A. vera (1.5%) showed a significantly lower mortality rate, compared to the positive control (P˂0.05). A. vera (1.5%) was the best group to moderate all histopathological lesions, compared to other groups. Accordingly, A. vera (1.5 %) is useful to treat streptococcosis (caused by S. iniae) and alter gill and liver histopathological lesions in rainbow trout. | ||

| تاثیر درمانی و آسیب شناسی بافتی عصاره‌های آبی- الکلی آلوئه ورا و مریم گلی علیه استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی در ماهی قزل آلای رنگین کمان | ||

| برخی گیاهان دارویی دارای محتوای ضد باکتریایی‌اند و به نظر می‌رسد جایگزین مناسبی برای آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها در درمان بیماری استرپتوکوکوزیس که سالانه تلفات زیادی در مزارع پرورش ماهی ایجاد می‌کند موثر باشند. بنابر این در این مطالعه تاثیر درمانی عصاره‌های آبی- الکلی آلوئه ورا و مریم گلی علیه باکتری استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی در قزل‌آلای رنگین‌کمان مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. عصاره‌های گیاهی به روش گاز کروماتوگرافی متصل به دستگاه طیف نگار جرمی (GC/MS) مورد تجزیه قرار گرفتند و در شرایط آزمایشگاهی به روش انتشار دیسک علیه باکتری استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی آزمایش شدند. در مرحله بالینی 480 قطعه ماهی قزل‌آلای رنگین‌کمان (میانگین وزنی g 1/0±10) در 9 گروه (هر گروه با 3 تکرار) تقسیم شدند و ماهیان همه گروهها (به جز گروه اول که به عنوان کنترل منفی تنها با µl100سرم فیزیولوژی مورد تزریق قرار گرفت) با مقدار µl100 از غلظت LD50 (CFU/ml5/108×66/3) سوسپانسیون باکتریایی استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی به صورت درون صفاقی مورد تزریق قرار گرفتند. سپس ماهیان با دوزهای 0 (گروه کنترل مثبت که با غذای تجاری فاقد هر گونه عصاره گیاهی تغذیه شد)، 5/0، 1 و 5/1 درصد عصاره‌های آلوئه ورا و مریم گلی و mg/kg 80 اریترومایسین به مدت 10 روز مورد درمان قرار گرفتند. در پایان دوره مطالعه نمونه‌هایی از بافت‌های آبشش و کبد برای بررسی‌های آسیب شناسی بافتی تهیه شد. نتایج نشان داد، آلوئه ورا و مریم گلی دارای مواد ضد باکتریایی مانند سینئول بودند و باکتری استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی نسبت به عصاره‌های آلوئه ورا (mg/ml 067/4=MBC) و مریم گلی (mg/ml185/5=MBC) حساسیت نشان داد. در پایان دوره درمان، تیمارهای اریترومایسین، آلوئه ورا (% 5/1) و آلوئه ورا (% 1) از نظر میزان مرگ و میر تجمعی ماهیان بیمار تفاوت معنی‌داری (05/0 ˂P) با هم نشان ندادند. آلوئه ورا (% 5/1) در مقایسه با گروه کنترل مثبت، به طور معنی‌داری (05/0 ˂P) مرگ و میر کمتری نشان داد. آلوئه ورا (% 5/1) از نظر تعدیل در همه آسیب‌های بافتی مشاهده شده در نمونه‌های بافتی نسبت به دیگر گروهها بهترین گروه شناخته شد. بنابراین آلوئه ورا (% 5/1) برای درمان بیماری استرپتوکوکوزیس (ناشی از باکتری استرپتوکوکوس اینیایی) و بهبود آسیب‌های بافتی آبشش‌ها و کبد ماهی قزل‌آلای رنگین‌کمان مفید می‌باشد. | ||
