| Abstract | ||
| Nowadays different methods and techniques are used to improve quantity and quality of plants production in greenhouse product systems. One of these techniques is called "pruning". It referred to objectively removing of plant parts such as stem, leaf, sprouts, root, flower, fruit, and so on. The aim of pruning is providing situations for greenhouse plants to balance their vegetative growth (leave and stems) and generative growth (flowers and fruits) in order to maximize fruit yield. Optimal pruning help plant to adapt to growth season. Based on the growth type of plants, different methods of pruning should be done. It is necessary that pruning implemented at suitable plant growth stage at proper time, correctly. That is important using disinfection scissors and instruments to prevent disease and pests distribution. This article try to deliver an overview about importance and advantages of pruning, introduce different methods and techniques of pruning and trellising in some important greenhouse productions. | ||
