| بومادران بیابانی گیاهی پایاست که بیشتر در شمال، شمال غربی، شمال شرقی، تهران و اطراف آن می روید. بومادران زرد یا بومادران مزرعه نیز بیشتر در استان آذربایجان می روید. بومادران زاگرسی بیشتر در شمال غرب کشور می روید. این گیاهان می تواننداز لحاظ استفاده دارویی با ارزش باشند. از این سه گونه دو گونه آن (بومادران بیابانی و زاگرسی) در اواسط خرداد 1377 از باغ ملی گیاه شناسی ایران و گونه بومادران زرد در اواسط تیر 1377 از روستایی نزدیک تبریز به نام هربی جمع آوری و خشک گردیده و از گلهای خشک آن به روش تقطیر با بخار آب به مدت یک ساعت اسانس گیری شده است. مقدار اسانس در هر سه نمونه 0.20 درصد بود که با دستگاه های کروماتوگرافی گازی (GC) و کروماتوگرافی متصل به طیف سنج جرمی (GC/MS)، مورد شناسایی قرار گرفتند. در نمونه بومادران بیابانی 38 ترکیب شناسایی شد که ترکیبهای عمده آن عبارتند از: γ-Muurolene (13.29 درصد)، α-Pinene (9.99 درصد)، Camphor (9.35 درصد)، p-Cymene (8.48 درصد) و trans-Carveol (8.41 رصد). در نمونه بومادران زرد نیز 37 ترکیب شناسایی شد که ترکیبهای عمده آن عبارتند از: Piperitone (45.92 درصد)، 1,8-Cineole (17.64 درصد)، Limonene (5.63 درصد) و p-Cymene (5.17 درصد). در نمونه بومادران زاگرسی 36 ترکیب مورد شناسایی قرار گرفت و ترکیبهای عمده آن عبارتند از: Limonene (26.70 درصد)، Carvacrol (9.26 درصد)، 1,8-Cineole (8.66 درصد)، Borneol (7.82 درصد) و Germacrene D (5.62 درصد). در هر سه گونه بومادران نزدیک 70 درصد از ترکیبهای شناسایی شده را مونوترپنها تشکیل می دادند. | ||

| The composition of the oils from flowers of three Iranian Achillea species (A. albicaulis C.A.Mey, A. biberseinii, A.filipendula Lam.) were collected during the flowering period. The essential oils obtaned by steam distillation. The percentage of all three oils were 0.20% v/w calculated on the dry weight analyzed by GC and GC/MS, all three oils consisted mainly of monoterpenes. The majore constituents of A. albicaulis C.A.Mey were y-Muurolene (13.29%), a-Pinene (9.99%), Camphor (9.35%), p-Cymene (8.48%), and trans-Carveol (8.41%), and A.bibersheinii were Piperitone (45.92%), 1,8-Cineole (17.64%), limonene (5.63%) and p-Cymene (5.17%), A.filipendula Lam were Limonene (26.70%), Carvacrol (9.26%), 1,8-Cineole (8.66%), borneol (7.82%) and Germacrene D (5.62%). | ||
