| رشد سریع صنوبرهای حاصل از قلمه‌های خشبی برای موفقیت جنگل‌کاریها بسیار مهم است. بدون رشد سریع، رقابت با علفهای هرز، زنده‌مانی و عملکرد نهالها را تحت تأثیر قرار می‌دهد. در این تحقیق اثر سن قلمه و عمق کاشت بر روی زنده‌مانی اولیه، رشد و بیوماسPopulus deltoides 69/55 در گلخانه بدون منبع حرارتی مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. قلمه‌های خشبی از شاخه‌های یکساله و دوساله جمع‌آوری و با دو عمق مختلف در گلدان کاشته و در قالب طرح بلوکهای کامل تصادفی با دو عامل سن قلمه و عمق کاشت و در سه تکرار مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. نتایج نشان داد که زنده‌مانی اولیه، بیوماس هوایی، وزن خشک برگ و ساقه، تعداد و طول شاخه‌ها و نسبت ریشه به ساقه به‌طور معنی‌داری تحت تأثیر سن قلمه قرار دارند. عمق کاشت، تنها بیوماس هوایی و وزن خشک ساقه را تحت تأثیر قرار داد، اما اثر معنی‌داری بر روی سایر صفات نداشت. این مطالعه نشان داد که قلمه‌های یکساله که 2:3 طول آنها درون زمین قرار گرفته برای تکثیر غیر‌جنسی Populus deltoides مناسب‌تر هستند. | ||

| Rapid early growth of poplars established from hardwood cuttings is critical to the success of Poplar cultivations. Without rapid growth,weed competition can significantly affect tree survival and productivity. The effects of cutting age and planting depth on early survival, growth and biomass of Populus deltoides clone 69/55 were studied in cold frame test in Guilan province. Results showed that early survival, aerial biomass, leaf and shoot dry weight, shoot number and length and finally root to shoot ratio (r/s) were significantly affected by cutting age. Planting depth only affected aerial biomass and shoot dry weight, however had no significant effect on the other variables. This study found that one year old cuttings planted about two third length deep, are preferable for vegetative propagation of Eastern cottonwood by cuttings. | ||
