The objective of this study was determination of nutrition chemical composition, minerals and in vitro digestibility of Vicia ervilia straw in central Zacros Mountains for three years in Shahrekord (cool and dry), Kohrang (cool and wet) and Lordegan (warm and wet) climates in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province. Data of 66 vicia straw samples includes: dry mater, crud protein, ether extract, crud fiber, ash, gross energy, macro and micro elements, In-vitro digestibility, NDF, ADF and ADL obtained for three years and three climates with laboratory methods. All of data after classification, by GLM method of SAS statistical software analyzed. The result of this study about chemical composition showed that total mean of CP, Ash, EE, GE for the Vicia ervilia straws were 7.2, 12.2, 1.1 percent and 3938 Kcal/Kg DM respectively. Total mean of NDF, ADF and ADL were 44.8, 30.7 and 5.9 percent. Mean of DMD, OMD and DOMD were 61/2, 58/9 and 51/7 percent respectively. The mean of minerals includes Ca, P, Ma, K was 1.53, 0.16, 0.24 and 1.39 percent respectively and Fe, Mg, Cu, and Zn was 187.6, 53.3, 6.5 and 16.9 Mg /KgDM respectively. In addition to the effect of years were significant on chemical composition, minerals and invitro digestibility. Totally, this legume straw was enough to sheep and goats and indigenous cattle maintenance requirements in the winter season and also palatability was acceptable for ruminant and could use in ruminant diet. This legume straw has some minerals like Magnesium, Iron and Zinc. The vicia ervilia straw has high amount of hemicelluloses and cellulose and low lignin and good digestibility. |
