| آجر پر مصرف ترین مصالح بنائی در ایران است .از آنجاکه آجر معمولی وزن زیادی دارد باعث سنگین شدن ساختمان و در نتیجه آسیب پذیری آن در برابر نیروهای زلزله می شود. آجر و سایر مصالح ساختمانی سرامیکی توپر گرچه با دوام‌اند ولی وزن سنگین عیب بزرگ آنها است. آجرهای ساختمانی توپر چگالی ظاهری 7/1 تا 9/1 گرم بر سانتی متر مکعب و هدایت حرارتی بین 5/0 تا 75/0 کیلوکالری بر درجه سانتی گراد در ساعت در متر دارد . لازم است این آجرها با آجرهای به ترتیب حدود 2/1 گرم بر سانتی متر مکعب و25/0 کیلوکالری بر درجه سانتی گراد در ساعت در متر جایگزین شوند .بدین ترتیب سعی بر اینست که با کاهش وزن مخصوص علاوه بر سبک کردن آجر خصوصیات عایق حرارتی آن بهبود یابد . یکی از موادی که به عنوان افزودنی تخلخل زا به مواد اولیه آجر اضافه می شود خاک اره است. هدف اصلی از تولید پانلهای چوب سیمان یا فرآوردههای کامپوزیت با اتصال معدنی، ترکیب ذرات آلی مانند چوب و مواد لیگنوسلولزی با اتصال دهنده‌های معدنی از قبیل سیمان، گچ و غیره است. فرآوردههای چوب سیمان که امروزه در بیشتر کشورهای جهان تولید میگردد دارای خواص کاربردی مطلوبی مانند مقاومت به عوامل جوی، آتش و عوامل بیولوژیک و سبکی وزن در مقایسه با سایر مصالح ساختمانی بوده و از پایداری ابعاد بالایی برخوردار است. علاوه بر تولید پانلهای مسطح در پرسهای معمولی، با استفاده از قالبهای مناسب میتوان محصولات دیگری از قبیل بلوکهای سیمانی، آجر و قطعات فرم دار را نیز تولید نمود. | ||

| The main purpose of the production of cement or wood products, composite panels by binding mineral particles mixed with organic materials such as wood and mineral lignocellolosic connectors such as cement, plaster, etc. This study was conducted with the objective of investigating the feasibility of making wood-cement using Poplar sawdust and Portland cement. A total of 30 bricks were made in the laboratories of Wood and production based on ratios of sawdust to cement (5-95, 10-90, 15-85, 25 -75 persent). Mass and volume of samples were measured and then density of bricks was calculated. The composites were tested for compressive strength using testing machine. The mean compressive strength values were 1.75 and 0.38 MPa composites with sawdust to cement ratios of 5-95 and 25-75 respectively, soaked composites swelled irrespective of the sawdust to cement ratio. The compressive strength for the soaked bricks was approximately 40% of the dry weight strength. The composite bricks were found to be unfit for paving and medium heavy load wall construction. Due to their light weight, by imparting decorative mosaics they can be used for interior wall paneling and decoration, where minimal wetting is experienced | ||
